Believe it or not but summer is on its way. Weather wise I mean.

I have managed to plant a few summer plants in my tubs and hanging baskets and instantly my garden looked a little bit brighter.

Except for one or two things that let the garden down. Green slimy moss on my patio tiles and weeds sticking up between each tile.

My patio needed a good scrub and de-weeding. If you think I was going to get a brush and scrub it, then mess around with weed killers, think again.

I just went into my garage and got out my B&Q pressure washer that I had bought a couple of years ago. I cannot recall the price I paid, but it was about £50. I am sure the prices will not have altered that much in the last couple of years.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time, hard work and get sparkling results, I suggest you go out and buy one this weekend.

This pressure washer is electric powered and uses a lot less water 360 litres per hour (approx) A garden hose uses 3500 litres of water per hour (approx) That is very handy for me as I am on a water meter.

The water is forced through the nozzle giving a powerful jet of water.it is up to you if you want to use detergent with it, or if you want to use just water.

Your normal hose pipe fits into the end of the machine to enable you to get high pressured jets of water through the machines own thin hose.

You also have the choice of two different settings.
One setting is really powerful, enough to blow your toes off (so make sure you are wearing shoes)
The other setting gives you a wider spray so is a little less powerful but still powerful enough to clean every thing to perfection.

There are instructions on how and were to use the machine.

With the really powerful jet turned on you can just go up and down the joins in your patio slabs and believe me, your weeds will be ripped right out.

On the lower setting you just s
pay back and forth over your slabs and watch the dirt come right off.

It is not just for use on patios though. You can wash your car or caravan, clean the plastic on your windows, you can in fact do most of your out cleaning chores with it.

I would and personally have recommended getting a pressure washer to all of my friends and now I am recommending the same to you.
