Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Leaks
After 7 years my Bosch pressure washer gave up the ghost, (I left it on overnight without water, which didn't help!)
I thought I would buy a "Karcher", surely best of breed...
I bought a K3.99 from B&Q (£140) after using it for 20-30 minutes it started to leak internally. The connection between the hose and the pump was leaking. I thought maybe it was a misplaced "o" ring, so back to B&Q for a new one,
B&Q obliged The replacement K3.99 did the same after 30-40 minutes!
So I thought I'll buy a better Karcher model K5.00 (£175), after 2 days use pop! the connector became disconnected, back to B&Q for a refund.
In summary, it seems that the sudden shock of the solenoid stopping the flow of water puts the internal connection under undue strain. (the (low pressure) hose kicks slightly when you release the trigger)
I subsequently bought a Bosch 1250, which has been faultless so far, interestingly the solenoid seems to close progressively over less than a second, which seems to be less stressful. I would not recommend Karcher, buy a Bosch.
Summary: Buy a Bosch
