Advantages: fun to use, superb results, cleans anything
Disadvantages: you get very dirty!, need a hoselock hose, need an outside tap
I knew I needed one and I was never sure which one to buy so this morning I came to dooyoo and read a few reviews. This afternoon I went and bought one. We chose the Karcher B 302 model as it comes complete with a trolley and many free accessories - a spray lance with double nozzle, a spray gun, a wash brush and a dirt blaster. The hose length is 7.5 metres which was ample to do our patio without having to drag the machine around very much. The pressure washer connects to your hose pipe with the Hoselock attachment (supplied) and can run at a maximum temperature of 40 degrees C though most people will run it with cold water alone. Ideally you need an outside tap and you do need the Hoselock hose to connect it to. It is also recommended that you use an RCD plug and socket that will interrupt power supply in an emergency. The pump pressure is 120 bar and the flow rate is 380 litres of water an hour. We have never seen our patio so clean and it was actually fun to use - we were fighting over who was going to clean everything in site. We did the patio, the fence, the walls, the windows, the garden swing and even the garden ornaments and this was just this afternoon. It is effortless to use and cleans everything instantly. Now, one thing I failed to take heed of (from another dooyoo member's review) was to wear some old clothes! We were so keen to get going that we just plugged it in and started cleaning. Hmmm - 1 hour later and our shoes had to be left outside the back door and the clothes we were wearing went straight in the washing machine. So, yes you do get a bit dirty - but it was fun. We haven't tried it on the car yet but we mainly bought it to clean the patio and garden furniture so we are more happy with that. Overall it is an excellent product and fun to use and recommended for anyone who needs to clean patios, cars, boats, walls, fences, garden furnitu
re, windows and so on.

- 08/05/02 If you are into drains (literally and figuratively speaking), Karcher sell a very useful drain cleaner... a sort of jet that can pull itself into a pipe. Mine has saved me a fortune, as compared with the charges of the professional rip-off merchants. |
