This really is a great gadget that every home should have, as it has so many uses. I purchased my first one actually a good few years ago, but when it packed up, and I contacted Karcher they advised me that it would be cheaper to buy an upgraded reconditioned model, rather than repair my old one. I therefore paid only £52, which was half price, and this was nearly two years ago.

Initially I bought a pressure washer for the purpose of washing the family vehicles, but then realized what other good uses I could actually do with it. Karcher is a German company, who has been in the cleaning products business for around 50 years.

APPEARANCE:

It resembles a small cylinder vacum cleaner at first glance, the machine is totally enclosed by a bright yellow plastic cover, which protects it from dirt or damage and has a modern looking design. It is very lightweight only 12.0 kg, which makes it very easy to move. It has a sturdy black handle on the top of the machine, to make lifting easier. There is 6.0m high pressure hose which has a protective rubber sleeve and a pivoted trigger gun attached at the end, also a long tube that is called a (spray lance) with high and low pressure nozzles. There is an on and off switch and a pressure switch control. Lastly it has a detergent intake hose. This machine is totally corrosion free. All these parts are standard accessories, which are supplied with the machine.

MY OPINION:

Mine certainly gets a lot of use, it is very easy to set up, all you need to do is plug it into your mains electric point and attach your garden hose pipe to your cold water tap and to the machine. You then ju
st switch it on and squeeze the gun trigger, the machine will stop, if you release the trigger, as this relieves the high-pressure system and stops the motor running. It is very noisy, while running and the pressure is very good, you can see the dirt lifting off, it is truly amazing. The high-pressure hose actually stops the pipe from twisting while in use, so it can not get blocked. It is very economical to use and extremely efficient at doing the jobs we hate. My favorite cleaning job is the paths and walls, as if you have any moss build up, you can just blast the moss away, like magic. I really would be lost without it as its quick and so easy to use. I can honestly say that it is well worth its money and if you have been thinking of buying one, then what are you waiting for.I nearly forgot,you may need to wear your wellies and water proofs, as you can become very wet.


These great machines are available from Argos and there are many different models and prices ranging from £70 to around £140. If however you can’t afford a new one then you could always go direct to Karcher and ask about a reconditioned model.
