Just puchased the K'archer pressure washer. My only regret is that I have not bought one years ago.
The inspiration came from some greeny stuff on my brickwork at home, which after scrubbing away with an old fashioned brush and elbow grease seemed like bloody hard work.
I purchased the brand on reputation and build quality. There are cheaper, similar ones available, but my thinking was, spares are readily available when needed, and any add ons can be obtained, should I require them in the future.
Back to the brickwork, without detergent, there was enough force behind the washer (100bar) to thoroughly clean off the green stuff and other gunge which had accumulated around the wall.
It is saving my wife a small fortune by cleaning the windows herself now, sorry window cleaners for you losing our business. It makes these tasks so easy. Especially for old sods like me with a bit of arthiritis etc.
Also saving me a few bob on the car wash. In a few months it will more than have paid for itself.
A word of caution to people who have never used one of these devices. Paint work is quite easily stripped off some surfaces if you get too close with the lance when trying to remove dirt. Keep a distance from areas such as window frames, doors etc. which can be quickly ruined. Other advice is make sure you have an RCD (residual current device) in your mains supply. An obvious precaution. Most importantly, do not mess around "splashing" someone, the pressure behind these machines can be lethal.
Used safely these can prove to be an exceptionally good labour saving tool around home and garden.
