“ Brand: Karcher „
We also purchased one of these expensive pieces of kit.............like the chap before we used it 4 or 5 times, it was kept in a heated garage over the winter, we have just woken it up for the yearly patio clean only to find that the pressure is so low is would be better to use the hose and a broom!!! We had a much smaller Karcher previously which was horribly abused and worked perfectly for about 8 years. Karcher offer a repair service which is £99.00 regardless of the problem so we can at least get it repaired however I don't think that this is good value for money when the unit cost circa £300 initially and trying to reach them on the phone is a mission in itself.
I bought one of these washers last year used it about 5 times took it out to use it this year after storeing it in a dry warm place over the winter and on the second time of use it started to give problems, left it to a karacher agent and because it was just over a year old it cost me £60 pounds to fix by putting in a new pump ,when asked they could give me no reason why it broke. When I phoned karcher they told me they recomend not to use it for more than 1 hour but it dosent say anything in the manual about that, just wanted to let people know so it dosent happen to them hope after the next 5 or 6 uses it dosent happen again or it could be another £60 or even more. More angry with karcher than anything.
