Advantages: Saves money long term, easy to use

Disadvantages: hose is a bit too short

I bought my Power Devil power washer from Ebay at the end Autumn, last year. I paid thirty five pounds for it which is a fairly good price. They retail in shops for around fifty pounds. This little red machine is extremely powerful and effective for it's size. i was really impressed.

the whole thing comes in a box with instructions and I found it really easy to put together. The only problem I had was fixing the inlet pipe to the tap in my kitchen. My taps are square not a standard shape so I had problems finding a suitable connector to attach the hose. I found a universal hose fitting in Wilkinsons which solved the problem.

The unit delivers water at 100 bar pressure which is fairly stong for a machine of this size. The hose length is only two metres long which is insufficient and the electrical cable is five metres long and contained in a cord storage unit.

I found the short hose length a problem. Extensions to this didn't seem a very good idea and they tend to leak and I was concerned about water coming into contact with the casing of the machine.

The trigger mechanism has a lock which is supposed to be a safety feature but I did find my five year old nephew operating the machine! So much for the safety device. It is easy for all but very young tots to open!

It comes with a wand which makes it easier to spray where you want to and a refillable detergent bottle. This is brilliant for cleaning the car and getting into all those difficult spots.

So, what can this machine do? The answer to that is that it can clean almost any hard surface outside. I cleaned shd doors, garage door and even th brickwork round the side of my house. It is brilliant for washing flagstones and removing moss from paths and tiles. You can even clean gutters out if you use an extension hose. However, my favourite way of using it is to clean the windows and their frames, all in one go.

Cleaning up after the dog is really easy and I can even give the garden furniture a treat. I'm sure there must be many other uses for this machine too.

I have never had any trouble with my machine and I feel it is really good value. After all, a carwash costs me four pounds per time and I pay the window cleaner five pounds every two weeks. Over six months I will have saved 108 pounds by my wreckoning! Sounds like a real good deal to me!

Summary: Saves you money, easy to use. really versatile little unit. You'll wonder how you managed without it

Hi Malu, yes I have a steam cleaner too. I find the steam cleaner useful inside the house but the pressure washer is more useful outside.

We had this pressure washer and the hose kept leaking, I sent it back and exchanged it for a Karcher one which although slightly more expensive is much better overall.

As far as I understand your review this cleaner works with water pressure only not with hot steam. I've got a steam cleaner which can also work wonders.
