just an update to the site status. this is a company which has been taken over by Kelkoo (yahoo). The web address now opens with a "contact Kelkoo" screen to direct users elsewhere. Shopsmart.co.uk as an independant is no more. There are other links on the site showing various places such as Barclaycard, i have not investigated these further as there is little point follwoing up on this site. follow the links to Kelkoo which is far superior than shopsmart ever ...  Read the complete review

Shopsmart.com ****** UPDATE ****** 12th Jan 2003 - Well my op is only just over a couple of weeks old and guess what? Shopsmart.com is no more!! That's it, gone, finito. There's a sign on the site thanking everyone for their past support and then suggesting they use Kelkoo.co.uk instead! I'm gutted, as I used to love this site. I’ve discovered another price comparison chart (well, to be honest, I read about it in a magazine and felt I had to take a look!). A few weeks ago I wrote an opinion about kelkoo.com, and recommended it if you wanted to compare prices online before you buy. There is a very similar site at uk.shopsmart.com. On the net there are loads of shops - you can buy almost anything - at all most any cost. You could end up buying something for £20 that would cost £5 on another site - you could end up paying £10 post and packaging, where p&p is free on another site. Shopsmart solves these problems - you can compair prices from a range of shops including well know sites such as Amazon to not such popular sites such as CD - Wow. I have used this site many times to find best prices for cd's. I always find that they have diverse shops with different delivery times and postage amounts but always seem to find that they find good value sites for example . i used them to find a cd recently . They searched 8 shops had 6 results and saved me just over £7.50 bargain !!!! I think from using that site i have saved quite a few pounds as i will never shop around .
