Paul Pope’s ambitious ‘Graphic Movie’ of a graphic novel, originally released as five large-size comics between 2002 and 2003 on DC’s adult Vertigo label, must have been something of a fun pet project for the popular writer, who both wrote and illustrated all two hundred and forty-something pages of this future-based soap opera.
