dthpsb Bob the Builder: Bob's Busy Screwdriver - Lauryn Silverhardt: ... bought this book for my eldest son a few years ago when he first started to like Bob the Builder. I have bought loads of books for my boys over the years and although non of them can read (my eldest is just starting to learn) I think books are very important part of educating them, I have spent lots of time reading books to them over the years. I bought this book from Home Bargains and it cost just 99p, I think t...

Sam_N Baby and Toddler Meal Planner - Annabel Karmel
... bought this book as our son approach the weaning stage, having read a lot of information that completely bamboozled me about weaning I decided that I wanted a little bit of a push and a shove in the right direction. There is so much literature / information available about weaning that I felt I needed to make a decision about the direction we would try and stick to it as much as possible. I really liked the fact that Annabel Karmel discussed food / nurtition etc in general at the beginning of the book. A lot is common sense but it helps to concrete beliefs etc that you may already have. I liked the fact that in the early days there is a very specific meal planner t...

MrsE All You Need Is Love - Carole Matthews
... have read an awful lot of thrillers lately and this was a refreshing change. It s a story about Sally Freeman, a young single out of work mother who lives on a council estate with her son Charlie. Spencer Knight comes along and sweeps her off her feet. He is rich, charming, affectionate and sexy and Sally can t quite believe her luck. However her ex Johnny is still in love with Sally and has to try to win Sally back. As a penniless aspiring painter, who also lives on the estate and cares for his ill mum, he doesn t have a lot of chance. I am quite a fan of Carole Matthews and this story is no different to my previous opinions of her books. The story is warm and funny...

graceyhh The Shadow Of The Wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafon
... is a wonderful read. In fact, it is the book that enabled me to arouse from the reader s block that I had over the course of a few years. I had heard lots of hype concerning the book, and that is usually the first thing that puts me off a book, as often such hype leads to an anti-climax. I was at the airport and given a minimal amount of time to chose a book and thought I would give it a try. From the moment I opened the first page, I was completely taken over by the writing style of the book, the wonderful master storyteller that is Carlos Ruiz Zafron. The book has truly encapsulated the supense genre and is a page turner that you regret coming anywhere near...
