Aftermath is split into four sections named after what phase the story is in (Development, Outbreak, Decimation and Quarantine) and is written by the creator of 30 days of night, Steve Niles. Unlike the films the books isn t big on the horror instead concentrates on the story telling; which is a shame as the fans of the films would be expecting the book to have horror throughout it, but in reality the addition of horror to these stories would only lessen them. The first three chapters are very straight forward in which the reader will be able to guess what s coming quite easily; however it is the fourth and final chapter that makes this book actually worth a read.
