Doctor Who: The Deviant Strain - Justin Richards:
... (from the back of the book) The Novrosk Peninsula: the Soviet naval base has been abandoned, the nuclear submarines are rusting and rotting. Cold, isolated, forgotten. Until the Russian Special Forces arrive - and discover that the Doctor and his companions are here too. But there is something else in Novrosk. Something that predates even the stone circle on the cliff top. Something that is at last waking, ... Read the full review: Captain Jack is back! by amytheduck |

Marvel 70th Anniversary Collection ... 1939, and through bad patches in the 50s and 60s, Marvel has produced comic books, recurring characters, developing plotlines and satisfying the pangs of millions of fans worldwide. To mark its 70th Birthday, this huge 300+ page celebratory edition was released, with some of Marvel s gurus favourite selection of issues from the 40s right through the the 21st Century. What I liked about the compilation was the sheer difference between some of the styles and the political topics involved in the storylines. The essential premise behid Alan Moores re-take on superheroes is that only seriously flawed individuals would think it a good idea to put on a mask and beat up criminals. Ouran High School Host Club: v. 1 - Bisco Hatori ... companionship. We all long for it, and in Japan, you can pay for it if you go to a host or hostess club. Hostess clubs in the West are usually those places where the waitresses wear bunny ears and the like and serve drinks, and maybe something else if you manage to get one to agree to "date you". Host and Hostess clubs in Japan are not like that. Outside the club you will find signage with the faces of the lovelies inside along with their names, and when you enter, you can request your choice. If they are available, you can go sit with them, and if not, you can either choose someone else or get in a queue, or if the person they are with doesn t mind, join th...
