League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Black Dossier - Alan Moore:
... is a graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Kevin O Neill, two alumni of British sci fi comic 2000AD who have since gone on to bigger and better things (Moore especially - he s probably the most acclaimed comic-book writer in the world). It s published by DC, one of the two big mainstream comic companies in America. It s the third volume in an ongoing saga; you probably need to have read the firs... Azumanga Daioh - Kiyohiko Azuma ... per the popularity of Japanese manga in western culture, it is interesting to note that much of what we know of the genre is actually quite limited as opposed to the Japanese market that in its slaving production schedules brings out a huge amount of different kinds of manga we will probably never get to hear of, much due to either being considered as unviable for it to be licensed and translated for foreign countries, or just that a large amount of it is simply utter tosh. Daredevil: Devil, Inside and Out Volume 2 -Ed Brubaker ... s run on Daredevil started with a whizz and a bang. Unfortunately there are a few problems with this second volume.(collecting issues 88-93 of Daredevil) It opens with a one shot that doesn t feature Daredevil, but his one time partner Foggy, thought to be dead at the end of the last volume. Daredevil has fled the country in the wake of all the fracas in the last volume and Foggy is wondering what has happened to him. Although this issue contains the rquisite ninja action to keep anyone amused, it feels a little like filler rather than the satirical fun of, say Miller s Foggy stories. The main Daredevil action itself is a little disappointing too - Daredevil... Read the full review: Daredevil in Europe by GundamMeister |

Daredevil: Devil, Inside and Out Volume 1- Ed Brubaker ... Brubaker took on the task of writing Daredevil straight after one of the most acclaimed runs in the titles (and maybe Marvel s) history; that is Bendis and Maleev s epic run (which is being released in Omnibus edition later this year. Now, I haven t read Bendis Darevil yet so it is somewhat difficult to make a comparison between the two, but the general consensus seems to be that brubaker does a pretty stunning job in this, collected edition of the first 6 issues of that run. Daredevil has found that his life has hit rock bottom. His secret identity as Matt Murdock has been revealed and he has been thrown into prison as a vigilante. What s more, someone else is no...
