Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Long Way Home - Joss Whedon: ... a long wait, Buffy the Vampire Slayer continues in, perhaps, the only way it possibly could. No, not as a bigscreen movie, but as a comic book. The much talked about Buffy Season 8 comic series has Joss Whedon at the helm as executive producer, similarly to the TV series. he also writes the first five issues to make sure that things start with a bang. Boy, what a bang. Joss Whedon is a fantastic comic writ...

GundamMeister Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Tales of the Slayers - Joss Whedon
... is something of a mixed bag that I would definitely recommend checking out if you are a fan of Buffy the vampire Slayer, but maybe its not worth rushing out to buy? The concept is cute and quite neat. rather than being "yet another" buffy spin off comic, this one tells a number of short strories relating to the lives of previosu Slayers that make up Buffy s history. It can therefore be seen as Buffy canon and adds to the uniqueness and the richness of what has come to be called the "Slayerverse". Its a fun read but let down by the varied quality of the stories, but there are some standouts ; Joss Whedon s is written entorely in verse whilst J...

trickmirror Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Frank Miller
... i finished reading this book the only thing i could think was that i was sad that i could never read it for the first time again. Its an amazing book, never mind being the best comic book out there. If you even remotly like Batman this is one book you should add to your collection. It tells the tale of how Bruce comes out of retirement to tackle the ever growing crime in Gotham. The characters featured include the old favourites like TwoFace and the Joker, and even Superman. It is told so well by Frank Miller, and features some great artwork. Its all drawn in a very gritty way which reflects the city which they are in. There isn t one thing that i can say that i...

iToast Death Note Volume 1 - Tsugumi Ohba
... I was recommended this by a friend, and watched the anime even though I m not into anime or manga. It was amazing. I immediately ordered volumes 1, 2 and 3 of the manga off amazon. I have lent them to my dad, who I doubt even knows what manga is, and he enjoyed them just as much. ~~Plot~~ Very sinister and entralling. Yagami Light is a school student in his final year at school. Brilliant academically, Light is often bored, and is sick of a world that is full of cruelty and suffering. When he finds the "Death Note" in his school grounds, he is fascinated. "The human whose name is written in this book shall die". At first he thinks it...
