Batman : A Death In The Family - Jim Starlin:
... A Death In The Family is a graphic novel that collects together a specific story arc (issues 426-429) from the weekly comics that were first published in 1988/89. Like the infamous The Death Of Superman arc , DC sought to create publicity with what became a mildly controversial best seller, if not quite a milestone in comic history. The twist with the Death In The Family Batman arc was that DC Comics le... Read the full review: Requiem by Jake Speed |

Death Note Volume 1 - Tsugumi Ohba ... we have the most popular manga series for the older audiance. I can assure you its poularity is justified. Also expect death note to really take off in a few months time. There is a live action movie that is going to come to britain soon! Anyway lets get down to it. Death note isnt your standard story. First of all the main character - Light yagami - is not a hero. We meet him and find he is very intelligent and popular. Unfortunately for him his world is about to be turned upside down because of a notebook! This of corse is the death note. In its natural form it is a book used by death gods to kill people. Ofcorse with that art you get a story and plenty of action to fuel your mind! If you are new to manga then Bleach is the place to start. It is a mature manga make no mistake about it. This first volume introduces you to some of the characters and ofcorse the main protagonist. Ichigo Kurasaki! - Hes a high school kid, tall, strong and is your general hero to be honest. He likes to save people but also has a troubled past. He is easy to identify with and I quite like the guy. One more thing... He can see dead pe...
