Bob the Builder: Bob's Busy Screwdriver - Lauryn Silverhardt:
... bought this book for my eldest son a few years ago when he first started to like Bob the Builder. I have bought loads of books for my boys over the years and although non of them can read (my eldest is just starting to learn) I think books are very important part of educating them, I have spent lots of time reading books to them over the years. I bought this book from Home Bargains and it cost just 99p, I think t... Read the full review: Is it a screwdriver or is it a book? by dthpsb |

My First Farm Touch and Feel - Anne Millard ... babies love farm animals and what better way to teach them about farm animals than with, My First Farm Animals soft activity book. I think this is a perfect starter book for babies and one I like to buy as gifts for my friends as well as getting one for my upcoming arrival. The book is from Mothercare as I think they do an excellent range of toys/books that are not only educational but fun as well and good quality. The book, like it says above, is soft so it s made of fabric. It is held together at the spine with a latch which makes it really easy to turn the pages, especially easy for little fingers. On each page we are introduced to a new farm animal, these being ... Read the full review: Old MacDonald Had a Farm by Whizz11 |

Mog's Christmas - Judith Kerr ... S CHRISTMAS JUDITH KERR This year will be my 37th year of having a child in the house for Christmas. Each and every one of those Christmas s has seen me buying Christmas books for the children in my life, my own children and now my grandchildren. The books have always been bought as an early Christmas present that the elves bring on Christmas Eve to see if the child has gone to bed, we then open the book and read it before the little one (hopefully) goes to sleep. One series of books that my children have grown up with are the Mog series by Judith Kerr. My eldest daughter was born in 1972 and the first Mog book, Mog the Forgetful Cat was released in 1970. T... Blood Ties - Sophie McKenzie ... Ties proved to be an enjoyable read even though its target market was a bit younger than me I still found it to be interesting and entertaining. The story is told from the perspective of two characters, Rachel and Theo so you get to see what they are thinking and how they perceive the events unfolding in front of them. Theo is a cool lad, quite arrogant at times and the only thing missing in his life is his father who he believes to be dead. He is the popular lad at school that everyone want to be with and he even has his own bodyguard although the reason for this is not explanined at the start of the book. Rachel however is the complete opposite, she is over weigh... Read the full review: Closer than you think by fuzzybear |
