Little Miss Classic Library: Little Miss Brainy - Roger Hargreaves: ... Miss Brainy is number 25 in the Little Miss series of books which contains 33 stories. The series was originally written by Roger Hargreaves who wrote the first 30 stories in the collection, his son Adam taking over the writing mantle for the final 3. Now in my opinion Little Miss Brainy is a fantastic character. She isn t the normal round shape that many of the others are. Oh no she s more oblong in shape b...

pmcds Mr Jelly - Roger Hargreaves
... Jelly is the 15th Mr Men in the popular series by Roger Hargreaves. It is also published in some places as Mr Nervous. It deals with the emotion of nervousness and how jumpy some people can be. It also deals with trust. The Mr Men books were a favourite of mine as a child and my son now loves them as well. Mr Jelly is probably one of the easier ones to draw, as jelly is an actual thing. Even so, the drawing is done well and cleverly, using a vibrant pink colour and motion lines around his body to denote the wibbly wobbly effect of jelly. He also has a wide open mouth to show being scared all the time. Mr Jelly lives in the middle of a wood as he is too scared of peop...

pmcds Mr Forgetful - Roger Hargreaves
... Forgetful is the 14th in the popular Mr Men series created by Roger Hargreaves in 1971. The books are timeless and were a favourite of mine when I was a kid. I now read them to my son and he loves them, too. Each story normally carries some kind of moral to it, and this one shows us how important it can be top not forget things. Mr Forgetful is a deep blue colour and is shaped like an egg. His mouth is shaped as if he is saying Oh! as he constantly forgets, and he wears a little red hat. The story shows Mr Forgetful as he wakes up and forgets his dream, then forgets where the bathroom is and burns his breakfast before heading into town to buy a stamp and send a lett...

rashedon89 Noughts and Crosses - Malorie Blackman
... of my favourite authors Malorie Blackman is known with writing with a passionate, imaginative style. Noughts and Crosses is a love story centered around the themes of racism and segregation only cleverly Malorie Blackman has enticed the reader by changing history and writing about a world where black citizens are in charge and white citizen, previously slaves to black citizens are the under-class. The story focuses on the characters of Sephy and Callum, two childhood friends who are starting to learn about the boundaries the world has placed on them because of the colour of their skin. Black people are referred to crosses, and white people are noughts, zeroes, nothin...
