After going through the phase where I had move on from more "childish" books, I couldn't find anything that I wanted to read.
Then I found "A Child Called It", as I began to read the book I become more and more emotionally tied to what was happening. It tugs on the strings of your heart and makes your emotions twirl. It's an absolutely amazing and heart wrenching read.
The story follows the life of a young boy and the trauma that he goes through. I found it impossible to put the book down and thought it was one of the best things i've read in a long time.
This book despite it's sad and feel of a trauma throughout gives hope. How such a young boy could survive the horror that he went through is amazing. It brings to life the things you see on television and in adverts. It shows how abuse can truely affect a person and how if you're witty and strong, you can survive!

Despite the obvious, it was a book that was so hard to put down.

Summary: A must read!
