to me. I absolutely loved the book and so, when I saw the sequel, The Chocolate Lovers Diet , I had to read it. The Author Carole Matthews is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and I can honestly say that I ve never read a book that I haven t enjoyed by this author. Matthews is a well known author, both in the UK and the USA and has written numerous bestselling novels. I was looking around for a Carole Matthews book in the library last week and stumbled across this one by mistake. After reading the blurb I decided it might be a good one to read to I gave it a go. but is his love unrequited? ~My Opinion~ This is a story of love and friendship. It moves along quickly and I read it in a couple of days. Carole Matthews style is witty and light hearted. However there were a couple of points in the story when I was moved to shed a tear. (Mind you I haven t been well and may be feeling a little emotional!) I also laughed a bit. During the story Fern s Dad ends up living with her. He fakes having tourettes syndrome in an attempt to get his wife to take him back.
