A Contented House with Twins - Gina Ford ... knowledge of mothers who had been through it with two. This book is the result of those cries. Alice's front-line experience of coping with twins is combined with Gina's highly successful parenting advice, and, for the first time, her groundbreaking routines, specially adapted for twins. Together, they tackle the practical and emotional aspects of parenting two babies, including: what you can expect in a multiple pregnancy; how to feed two at once; what to do when they each want a different story or both want a hug; and how to cope with everyday practicalities - loading up the car, shopping, bath time, and much more. Alice's humorous insights and Gina's essential advice, tips, support and successful routines will guarantee that parents enjoy their twins and get their lives back.

Premium Review A contented baby or a contented mother? (356 words)

from Amazon in a fit of pregnancy hormones when I suddenly realised I had no idea what on earth to do with a little human being. If you google Gina Ford you soon realise that people either love her or hate her and her methods. I must admit I am sort of inbetween, her ideas are fine but it s obvious that her views are professional rather than mothering. This is a hardback book with lovely big pictures, some of which are very helpful (e.g. swaddling although I could never get the hang of it myself) with lots of informative text. should come with a health warning as unfortunately books can't be banned! I have literally cried over heargin some mums experiences of trying to follow this book. I believe Gina Ford is exploiting new mums, who these day often have little family around to advise and help, and making alot of money. If you ahve to read a childcare book try "the womanly art of breastfeeding" anything by William Sears or to do with Attachment Parenting. I will finish with a quote from Dr William Sears, paediatrician - "If we were all first time parents isolated on a deserted island without the advice of baby books, child psycholgists, or in-laws - you would care for ...
