World without end is the follow up book to Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follett, and even though this may bring joy to the hearts of those who read the original, it is no in no way a necessity to have read the original book before reading this. The main reason for this is that although the book is set in the same place and in a similar time, perhaps some 100-200 years following the events of Pillars of the Earth, but does not involve the same characters the previous book, although mentions of them can be seen at points, as well as the inclusion of some of the offspring of the original characters. The story begins with the main characters of the book as children, telling ...

So, ...

This is the second book I have read by Follet and as with the first I was unable to put it down. The story takes place over the period of one week and believe me you live every day of that week alongside the characters! We are introduced to a bright young scientist – Dr Jeannie Ferrami, who is undertaking research into the ‘nature –vs- nurture’ argument, in short she is searching for twins who have been brought up apart from one another, to try determine, why people become criminals, is it a genetic trait or a ‘learned’ trait. Ferrami has written her own search engine to find the twins, by scanning medical databases that will throw up any ...

The best start to a Grisham book I have read A few of the twists can seem to be a little far fetched

Easy page turning read gaping plot holes and laughable dialogue.

Fabulous book for adults and kids alike; totally twisted! Not good for sensitive children!
