I won't tell you too much about the plot of this book,just enough to wet your appetite . If like me you like a thriller that unfolds gradually ,and some of it based on fact ,then this is the book for you .What Eileen Macdonald has written about has already happened in one country .It shows how sincere belief can be distorted by powerful people who can then use the susceptible . Then as putty in other peoples hands they can be influenced to do things that are completly out of character , even as far as murder . She shows the mechanics of this by weaving a plot with many characters in it . So many that you have to concentrate , and in my case , go back and remind yourself who ...

~ ~ The better half is finishing up the weekly shop at the local shopping centre, so the “mad cabbie” is indulging himself in one of his favourite pastimes, and browsing around in the local bookstore.
