A Good Girl Comes Undone - Polly Williams ... wears black and works hard and doesn't need looking after. Which is just as well. Changing the dynamic of her relationship with the flick of a P45, boyfriend Nick takes voluntary redundancy in order to 'find himself and go domestic'. But Annie increasingly finds stay-at-home Nick a turn-off. And, as her relationship unravels, she tries very hard not to notice the new alpha exec at work, the rude one with corporate shoes. No, she really doesn't like him. But, weirdly, he does make her want to wear pink.

I felt like I knew the main character, it was almost like she was a friend of mine, filling me in on what had been going on in her life when we met. Not a huge fan of chic lit, this book has been sitting on my book shelve getting dusty for a long time. I actually bought it at a car boot sale thinking that it might be a nice change from what I usually read to have something light hearted and trashy. I have to say, I loved this book and wish I'd read it sooner. I was right, it was easy to read but it was also very hard to put down. I felt like I knew ...  Read the complete review

On yet another run to my local library, I was informed that a few books I had put on hold ages ago were now in...5 to be exact! I'd actually forgotten about them so they were a bit of a surprise when I picked them up. When I got home, I had a good look through to see what I'd reserved and luckily one of them was a book I'd been looking forward to for a while, A Good Girl Comes Undone by Polly Williams. I loved this authors debut, was underwhelmed by her second, so I was hoping it would be third time lucky for this book! Annie Rafferty is a woman who has it all. She's just got the job of Deputy Editor at Glo! Magazine, has just bought a big house with long-term ...  Read the complete review
