I've read a couple of Hilary Bonner's books in the last year and really enjoyed them, so I was delighted to get my hands on another one. Hilary Bonner was formerly the showbusiness editor of the Mail on Sunday and the Daily Mirror, and as such, her books tend to involve a combination of policework and investigative journalism; and this book is no different. The plot A young girl goes missing after walking back from a dance late one night. Kidnappers contact the family for payment for her release, but after a couple of botched attempts by the police, the kidnapper goes silent.
