Advantages: A Good Read

Disadvantages: none

This is a very entertaining read. It is based in Venice and you feel while you are reading the book you were actually there. The descriptions of the places around Venice are perfect. You also feel you are part of the characters lives. The plot is very gentle but once you start the book you will not be able to put it down. She describes the Dective's relationships with is wife and two children . very well indeed and you are drawn into their lives. The Venetian Policeman called Guido Brunetti solves a case connected to an aristocratic family who's son was kidnapped several years ago and vanished. The book starts of when they found a young man's body and then they searched for who had kidnapped him . While Brunetti was investigating the dead young man he discovered the darker side of the Lorenzoni family. The Lorenzonis are not only rich but are a powerful merchantile family which have many connections around Europe. The family now have to face up with what actually was behind the truth of their sons death. I would certainly read another one of her books as I find them a good read. She is on smiliar to Veronica Stallwood who also writes crime novels. If you are looking for a good Crime writer then do not go any further start reading Donna Leon
