After reading the books on William Marshall, the knight paramour and the closest to Mallory's ideal for a knight it was a pleasure to see a novel about his father John FitzGilbert. The Author Elizabeth Chadwick is a member of the Regia Anglorum, a society promoting medieval life and through that she started writing her novels. All her novels tend to be around the start of the Plantagenet rule of England, they tend to have strong women but there main character is a famous non-royal character from the times.
