Princess of Landover Is the final book in the Landover series and is book number six.
The landover series follows a man by the name of Ben Holiday who becomes a king after buying a magical kingdom called Landover for 1 million dollars.
The series as since progressed and Ben holiday is now Married to one of Landovers inhabitants named Willow. They have only one Daughter Named Mistaya who is very stubborn like her father and will not be forced to do anything.
Mistaya or Misty as she is sometimes called was born in unusual circumstances. She's is part sylph, part human and part fairy creature.
No one seems to understand her except a court wizard named Questor. This book goes through her trials and her mistakes in growing up made harder by her unusual birth.
This book reminds me that someday I will be a parent and I can only hope my child is not as stubborn as she is.
My biggest complaint is that this is a final book to end a series and is more like just a single book.
This can be both a disadvantage and advantage because of the following reasons.
1.You don't have read 5 other books to understand whats happening except you do need to have read the first book.
The last book of a series usually answers all questions raised throughout series. This does not.
Does Albnathy become human again?
Does Questor become a better wizard?
and finally is Nightshade able to return to Landover.
My title refers part of the story where a lord of the Greensward named laphroig makes an attempt to try and marry Mistaya. He looks very much like a frog and even attempts to eat flies with his tongue hence his nickname the frog.
Some of the story so far has been a mix of
Alice in wonderland
The wizard of oz
The Frog prince
I have enjoyed the series so far though the series has had its disadvantages.
I'm not sure what age this has been made for but I suggest you read it yourself before letting your children read. There are some adult bits of story. This final book should be good for all ages.
