 ... Nick, as well as how she copes with his disappearance. Magda is an interesting character. I found her behaviour annoying to start with but she certainly livens things up! Luke was a character that I started off liking but gradually began to dislike, mostly through his actions towards the end of the book. I picked this book from the supermarket as it was on offer. I'm not very familiar with Isabel Wolff as an author as I have never read any of her books before. After this reading this one though, I can safely say that I am a new fan! *** What Is It About?*** The main character is Laura. After her husband mysteriously vanishes one day, she takes a job compiling questions for quizzes as an addition to her main job so that she can pay the expensive mortgage on their house. This leads to a television presenting job on a quiz show that is snapped up by one of the big television companies.
