This cheerful poem has been written To tell the history of Britain For people puzzled by the past - This means that help is here at last! I picked up this book on a visit to the Works for £1.99, a good £5 lower than it's cover price . I was intrigued by the blurb on the back cover, from which the little segment above is shamefully pilfered, and by the rather colourful cover . I dipped into the book right then and there in the store, and immediately started chuckling to myself - always the sign of a good book. A Rhyming History of Britain is a fantastic book in every single way and is in my opinion something that every family should have on their bookcase. It is educational for both children and adults alike but most of all it is profoundly entertaining. I purchased this book because I have a love of history (I should have studying it at University) and Rhyming poetry is something I have always been fond of. I am certainly glad that I made the purchase too as from the very first page to the very last one I found myself highly entertained by the quirkiness of the poetry whilst still feeling that I was actually learning or consolidating historical facts. ...
