After reading the first book, The Bad beginning you would have grown accustomed to Lemony Snickets style. His odd method of attempting to convince the reader to put the book down in the blurb is peculiar but certainly made me more intent on reading it, even if it was another book full of misery. Lemony Snicket is in fact not the true authors name but is a pseudonym. His actual name is Daniel Handler but that is another story. The reptile room is another book about the hardships the Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus and Sunny have to endure.
