It wasn't boring but it didn't hold that same interest as the first book. It was mainly about what Richard did to himself and although his mother was emotionally abusive to him and still neglected him, there was no more physical abuse as he was bigger and stronger and she realised that he could fight back now. A Teenagers Journey is the story of Richard Pelzer - A Boy Called It's younger brother. If you haven't read them the Pelzer family had five boys and the mother was horrendously abusively first to her son David, who was eventually rescued and then to his other brother Richard. Richard wrote a book called A Brothers Journey, in which he detailed the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother after David left the house. This covered his life until he turned into his teenage years. I read A Brothers Journey before this book and really enjoyed it.
