The A to Z guides have been published for many cities in the UK. I recently bought the London A to Z as I wanted a concise and comprehensive map to the city. I love this book as it's just so straightforward and no-nonsense. I'm not a native so I'll get plenty of use out of it but I'd imagine even the locals will find this extremely useful. Having lived in leeds all my life, i still cant find my way around a lot of places, whether your in a car, bus or bike an a-z guide is a must. They are so easy to follow, well detailed and great value. Streets are listed at the back, with map references on different pages, easy to locate and you can't really get lost. Find where you are, locate the nearest post office, church etc through their index. If im going for an interview or going somewhere ive not been before i always take mine, think of it as a local atlas. But i would advise everyone to keep one close to hand they are brilliant. ...  Read the complete review

Well written and informative, and very interesting if you like jazz Not intellectually gripping if you don't like jazz

This is a great 'fill in a little time' read Is a little redundant in the internet age.

indispensable look at what's out there in the weird world of print too US-centric

Easy to dip in and out of. Well written. Good "little room" reading. A little too big and heavy to be a true "pocket" sized book.

A funny and accessable light read Accuracy of accounts is debatable
