Well this is the title of section 1 in the first part of the book. Very encouraging for any desperate parent trying to come to terms with their child who displays a plethora of difficult and disturbing behaviours. Although I have read this book, and many, many others on the subject of ADHD in order to try and understand my child and modify his behaviour, I have yet after 13 years to succeed! However, I don't wish to be negative. What Alan Train's book does do though is to tell parents that it is not their fault that their child might be hyperactive, impulsive and inattentive (not to mention many displaying other difficult and debilitating symptoms).
