William goldman has written some good films- Butch Cassidy and the sundance kids won the man an Oscar, admitedly nowadays (the book was written 20 years ago) he's a bit of a "Hack" when it comes to films (Ghost and the darkness absolute power).

In adventures Goldman recalls all of his experiences in scriptwriting in a highly entertaining and readable fashion- he pulls down the curtain on hollywoods egotisms- recalling how virtually every leading man forces script changes to ensure they are always seen as great, cool, and kind.


The man is a ranter- but I love his rants- they're very clever entertaining rants.

This book takes you into hollywood like no other book I've ever read- I've definetly learn't things from this book that have stayed with me regarding hollywood (Mostly his most quoted line on Hollywood: Nobody Knows anything")
