The Captain Underpants books are perfect reading material for boys aged 7 - 10, who don't like books and who don't want to read. Half book half comic, it features the adventures of Harold and George who accidentally turn their headteacher into a super hero called Captain Underpants. A caped crusader with a bald head, fat belly and very large Y front underpants, Captain Underpants fights with 'Wedgie Power' and occasionally rubber doggy do. In his battles to save the universe, he encounters various baddies including an army of evil talking toilets and an invasion of incredibly naughty dinner ladies. In short, it is as far away ... The Adventures of Captain Underpants is an "epic novel" written by Dav Pilkey. It is primarily for children aged between 6-12 but aged 18 with nothing else to read the other night I quite enjoyed the 15 minutes entertainment it gave me. George Beard loves to write stories and his best friend Harold Hutchins loves to draw and so together they produce a comic about their favourite superhero creation, Captain underpants. Unfortunately George and Harold are also quite mischievous and love cracking jokes, pulling pranks and causing mayhem at school much to the annoyance of their sour principal Mr Krupp. When George and Harold are caught on ... OK, it was like this. I still haven't got hold of the fourth Harry Potter book, and that's why I was sneaking around in the kids section, your Honour, when this book, Captain Underpants, just happened to catch my eye. I remembered seeing it listed, but unopped, on dooyoo, so duty called... Luckily there were no pesky kids around at the time so I got away with it. Dav Pilkey promises action, thrills, and laffs in his self-proclaimed 'epic novel' (well, it is more than a hundred pages) in which we are introduced to Captain Underpants, whose true identity is so secret, even he doesn't know who he is! We do though, and we know ... Read the complete review

Captain Underpants books are awesome, they revolve around George and Harold as they accidently turn their Principal Mr. Krupp into their Comic Book hero Captain Underpants! They have weird and wacky adventures from the mind of Dav Pilkey. What makes it so funny is some of the enemys they face such as Talking toilets, a huge dandelion and A guy called Professer Poopypants(lol). Also Flip-o-rama is a good tool that lets you anamate the pages-but my favourte parts of the books is Dav Pilkey's homemade looking comics that make up the chapters. The books also have really wired names such as book 3= Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incedibly ... Read the complete review
