Advantages: Exciting

Disadvantages: A bit long

Tom Sawyer was one of my favourite books as a child. This was because it manages to combine excitement, interest and action throughout the whole story. There is never a dull moment and I was totally enraptured from beginning to end. The adventures star Tom as a young boy in the deep south in America and his experiences with a young black boy, who is a slave. This does not sound very interesting, but in fact, there are so many aspects to the story that they cannot all be explained adequately. It is a story of a boy growing up, experiencing new things and maturing with his adventures. It is funny, compelling and never dull. Read it.
