I have given a copy of The Alchemist to so many friends of mine I've lost count how many times I've actually bought the book. I can honestly say that none of them have been disappointed and they've all passed copies on to their own friends. It's that kind of book, when you've finished it you want to share it.

It's a simple tale of a shepherd boy's quest to find a hidden treasure. A quest which takes him from Spain to North Africa, across the desert and eventually to Eygpt. On the way he meets kings, magicians, The Alchemist; he falls in love and learns to listen to his heart, read the signs that life shows us and believe in the power within himself.

It is a tale magical enough to hold your attention but at the same time it is easy to relate it's message to your own life and learn to follow your own heart and dreams and fulfill your own destiny.
