Alec Stewart will widely be regarded as one of the greatest wicket keepers this country as ever produced. He was not only good with the gloves it was his batting which initially broke him into the England Cricketing set up and helped keep him there for over 20years. Playing for Keeps is his story and his version of events that led from being born into a cricketing family (his dad played for England and later managed England) and playing backyard cricket with his brother to his rise through school and junior ranks, joining Surrey County Cricket Club and eventually playing for England.
