by Emmay99 - written on 25/10/08 (Very useful, 28 readings)
Rating:
They talked about babies just like grown-up ladies. Sally also has other garden visitors to her secret house, and has a thoroughly enjoyable time. This simple story is accompanied by Shirley Hughes brilliant Illustrations. The drawings are detailed and lifelike and full of colour and vibrancy. Her representation of children and their expressions is very appealing. The book has lots of flowery, girly designs and so it has lots of appeal for young girls. Suitable for reading to young girls, and for pre-readers to looks at the beautiful illustrations on their own, or for young readers to tackle ...
