Me and my children love these books by Shirley Hughes, they are about a little boy called Alfie and his sister Annie Rose. This particular title is all about going to buy Alfie some new shoes and how he buys a new pair of wellingtons and does the thing that all kids do and splash in loads of puddles. Alfie and his sister Annie Rose are two lovable kids who get up to everyday things and really are enjoyable to read about. There are several titles in the series and each one is as good as the next, a real pleasure to read for yourself and the children.
