Say Hello to the Snowy Animals! - Ian Whybrow

Rating:
do get ripped so we tend to keep paperback ones separate for us to read together. Say Hello to the Snowy Animals is a touchy feely book written by Ian Whybrow and Ed Eaves. They personally aren t well known authors of children s books to me, but I think they have created a great concept in this book for young children to be introduced to textures on the pages. The story centres around a baby husky who is off on a journey to meet all the other snowy animals. We meet a puffin, seal, polar bear, owl, caribou, whale and an arctic hare. Straight away you can see that these animals are not the immediate sort you would read to a young child about, but I think it s a good idea ...

All Change! - Ian Whybrow
by Claribella - written on 15/05/09 (Very useful, 30 readings)
Rating:
the picture of the train on the front cover so we just had to get it stamped and put it in his book bag. The book is written by Ian Whybrow and is fantastically illustrated by David Melling. It was written in 2001 and was published by Hodder Children s books. The story is about a tiger who is rather upset because he didn t get a present from anyone on his birthday so Miss Lollipop takes him on a journey in lots of different vehicles to try and cheer him up. The illustrations are really good and are sprawled across the double pages. They are bright and colourful and there is an awful lot going on in each one which sparked a lot of conversations between Noah and I. ...
