 ... and fun and interesting and funny to look at. I love them! The text is great. The story rhymes, but it's clever rhymes, and you never find it boring or repetitive. I know these books are for children, and as such it's not us that is their target market, but surely the writers have to acknowledge that it will be the parents reading them. Our boy is called Noah, so we always go for things with his name on it. This book looks like a traditional Noah's Ark story from the cover but is actually totally different. The basis of the story is that Noah's animals are getting restless on the boat, so he arranges a talent contest for them. Each animal does something different, and that's what each page is about. The illustrations are full page and lavish. They're really creative and fun and interesting and funny to look at. I love them! The text is great. I came across this book at my local library and fell in love with so have since borrowed it a few times. The story is written by Tony Mitton and is illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees. It was first published in 2006 by Orchard books. The story is based on the well known bible story, Noah and the ark but this one has a different outlook to all of the others that I have read. The animals start to become extremely agitated and restless after they have been on the ark for a while and start arguing with each other.
