A great book by Melissa Hill

One of my favourite authors has to be the writer Melissa Hill and I have yet to read one of her books that I did not enjoy. She tends to write about women in their thirties normally with a dilemma or two in their lives. These characters seem real and very likeable and women who you would probably be happy to have as friends. The storylines are always riveting but before you sit back and relax into the books too much, be warned! There is usually a twist that I guarantee you are unlikely to see coming! This is definitely the case with the book that I have just read - 'All Because of You!'

I loved this book from the moment that I picked it up and started reading it. The story is about three women - Tara Harrington, a successful life coach, her friend Liz, a happy wife and mother, and Natalie, a glamorous PR girl who is desperate to find a husband and settle down. The three women's lives weave together in various ways and each has their own interesting story line to follow. However, in true Melissa Hill style, there is a bit of a mystery - something to really intrigue the reader. In this case, it is the fact that Tara's unmarried sister Emma is pregnant but refuses to reveal who the father is. This causes the women to both wonder and worry that maybe the truth is a little too close to home!

There are some great absorbing story lines in 'All Because of You' that help the reader get to know the three main characters really well. There are also quite a few surprises that you are very unlikely to see coming and definitely keep you on your toes when you are reading. This element of Melissa Hill's writing is one of the reasons that I look forward to reading her books so much - I always expect the unexpected and I am never disappointed!

I really liked all three main characters and found them warm and interesting. They all have their issues and problems to deal with but mainly seem to keep cheerful throughout. They are the sort of women that I would be quite happy to have as friends and would happily do anything to help them too. All of the characters in the book are really good and the relationships between them seem very real.

The book moves along at a good pace with lots of different story lines to get involved in and enjoy. I like the way that each woman has a separate story but these also merge together well at various points in the story. 'All Because of You' is a story about all sorts of relationships - some that work better than others - and it's also about how things seem to happen for a reason such as a chance meeting during a holiday in Egypt, and these happenings then seem to set off a whole new course of events.

Overall 'All Because of You' is a brilliant book from Melissa Hill and one that I did not want to stop reading. I was hooked from the very first page and I loved the fact that I really could not predict what was going to happen or who was the father of Emma's baby. I definitely recommend this book which is currently available on Amazon for £5.49 (September 2011).
