I have to admit I bought this book on the internet and sent it back for a refund after having very quickly read it. Couldn't bear to have this piece of trash on my bookshelf.
This is just a "feel bad" book, it's boring most of the time, the style is poor, the characters are hateful and it tries to be shocking but tries too hard. Maybe a fairly good sociological study of the real high flyer american yuppie if a bit dated. Yet I suppose it's less worse to read this book than to go and see the film.
Come on, you have better things to do...
