Advantages: funny, exciting and interesting.

Disadvantages: none at all!

As a woman of 39, (my birthday last month), You may think it odd that I would read this book as it is aimed more at teenagers. My teenage daughter was reading it and telling me how great it was so I picked it up one day and had a flick through. I started reading it and within a week I had read it and thought it was brilliant. A week sounds like a long time to read a book, but with a two year old son and a 10 week old puppy in the house with me, it takes that long to read a newspaper!
I don't usually read books so I didn't think I'd end up reading this but I thought I would give it a try after my daughters compliments about it. The story is centered around the life, love and friends of a teenage girl, Georgia Nicolson. She lives with her mum, dad, little sister Libby and cat/wildbeast Angus. You see her arguing with her friends, chatting up guys and challenging the love rival, Wet Lindsey haha.
It's very comical and has some peculiar yet funny phrases and words that were made up by the incredible Louise Renninson, like Nippy noodles to describe cold weather. It's a book with a difference that gives insight to a teenagers life and what it is like for modern teenagers, showing some of the pressures that they can face today.
I was hooked after reading a couple of pages and couldn't put it down, it is definitely a must read. After reading this, my daughter and I went on to read more of her fantastic titles, like 'dancing in my nuddy pants' and 'and thats when it fell off in my hand'. They are about the same girl so they carry on from the previous books which is awesome. I'd definitely recommend this book!

p.s, I'm sure that you you can but it from most book retailers like borders, WHS or waterstones for apporximately £5.99!
