Advantages: Hilarious!

I read this book at the age of 14 and I have to say I could 100% relate to the main character, in fact me and my best friend became extremely suspicious as the story wore on that we were being followed, and many of our idiotic dances, attempts to snare boys and ways to avoid detention were being copied and published in this fantastically funny book.

If you are a teenager, buy this book, it is laugh-out-loud material and the first in a series of around 10 books. (I've only got the last one left to read now!)

It mocks the old, celebrates the silly and sympathises with teenagers.

This particular book in the series follows 13 year old Georgia Nicholson as she goes back to secondary school after the summer holidays, meets a sex God named Robbie, accidently snogs Whelk Boy instead of Robbie, uses Dave-the-laugh as a red herring (but don't think you've seen the last of him!) and has her breast used as an arm rest by Mark The Big Gob (much to her confusion and the readers hilarity).

I'd definitely recommend this book to any 13-16 year old (bear in mind, I'm almost 20 and still laugh out loud when I read it) and the following ones in the series.

It got me through many a heartbreak by cheering me up and me and my best friend in school became obsessed with buying the latest book.

I will warn you though, you may become increasingly annoyed with Wet Lindsay!

The story and plot differs significantly to the plot of the film.

Summary: Fantastic! Buy this if you have a moody teenage girl
