Since I was tiny I have adored animals. So when I discovered the delights of the Animal Ark books, written by author Lucy Daniels, I simply had to have them all! One I had in my collection was Elephants in the East. The first thing you notice with a book is the cover so it is important that it makes a good first impression. This cover does not grab me that much. There is an image of an elephant, as if about to take a step. The colours of the picture are quite dull and dusty and not very eye catching at all.
