Good characterisation of protagonist, cultural details, not many books on this subject around Plot lacks sophistication, poor choice of cover on part of publishers

Great tale and superb illustrations Nothing

Repetitive and easy for the kids to pick up Some of the animals are strange colours

comicly funny scenarios, positive message, intro to poetic cadences, simple early vocab, phonics unwary adults unaware of the poetic meter may stumble horrifically when reading
