The book is about Mandy Hope, daughter of two vets. She and her best friend James hear stories of a ghostly horse after a stable was turned into a campsite. Naturally this is bizarre and they set out to find out what is going on. But can they unravel the mystery?

Since I was tiny I have adored animals. So when I discovered the delights of the Animal Ark books, written by author Lucy Daniels, I simply had to have them all! One I had in my collection was Horse in the House. The first thing you notice with a book is the cover so it is important that it makes a good first impression. Thankfully this one does. There is a picture of a white coloured horse on the front, a very mystical imagine indeed. His face looks strong and powerful, a very friendly image though.
