When I was younger I always had my nose in a book. Being the huge animal lover I was (and still am), I often chose to read books about animals. The Animal Ark book series by Lucy Daniels was very popular with me, and one of the titles was Lamb in the Laundry.

Although you should never judge a book by its cover, I always do, so it is important that it looks good! Thankfully this one does. There is a gorgeous picture of a little lamb on the front, a scruffy looking thing against the pale background. Although it looks a little dull to some, I just adore sheep so I was attracted instantly!

The book itself is about Mandy Hope, whose parents are vets. She and her best frend James are helping out at a farm when it is lambing season and one of the weaker lambs goes amock. They need to get it back before it gets hurt but will they be able to save it before its too late?

This is a wonderful story and had me almost biting my nails! I love sheep so hate to hear of any in danger. It is ideal, I feel, for children around the ages of 8 to 13. The text itself is a nice big size so they dont strain their eyes, and the language is to the point. It is quite simple so they will not be worrying that they do not understand it. Not only that but it makes a great light read for adults too! The book does not require much thinking so it is great to relax with your feet in a hot basin and aromatherapy oils all around - heaven!

The book can be bought in most good book stores for around £5.99, in shops such as WHSmith or Waterstones. However if you go over to Amazon.co.uk you can get it for just 1p! Even with the postage and packaging charges of £2.75, it is a wonderful price! I would definitely recommend you buy it, as you are likely to read the wonders of it a good few times!

This is a delightful little book for any animal of pig fan and is a must have on your bookshelf. I love it and I am sure you will too!
